Marketing Your Results & Sharing Your Story
Let’s just face it, this is a results driven business. Can you become a successful Coach without results? Yes, but it’s going to be a lot more difficult than it would be if you do have results to share. Why? Your results and personal story and experience with the products create credibility. When you have credibility, it makes it much easier to recommend a product. Just like I shared in the Day 12 training, whenever I am talking with someone and lead the conversation to fitness, the next step is to share my results for instant credibility. After they see my results, they see me as a reliable source of information regarding P90X and are more willing to listen to my recommendations. If I didn’t have results, it would be much tougher to get that person involved.
In addition, results can be much more than just physical appearance. With using Shakeology, for example, someone might not see a huge physical change, but they experience a massive drop in cholesterol or an improvement in digestion. Having those type of results can increase credibility as well. For example, if you were recommending Shakeology to someone and they ask you why they should use it, you can share your story of how it’s impacted your life in a positive way. Maybe after using it for 2 months you went to the doctors and your cholesterol dropped 30 points. It’s much better than saying, “Well I haven’t used it, but my buddy has been using it and loves it.”
So how do you market your results? There are a number of ways. You can share your transformation pictures on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, fitness chat forums, or even via a blog post on your website if you have one. When you do share your results, you want to make sure you post your story, different parts, or different variations of your story. It’s important to note, though, that you should NEVER post a link when sharing your results and story. Why? People will question your motives. If you just post your story and results, though, you will spark people’s interest and they will comment on your post or even reach out to you. Post your story to inspire, not make a sale. Also, make sure you add your Facebook info to EVERY picture that you post! If it gets shared, you want people to be able to come back to you.
Your story can be so much more than just physical results. Maybe you decided to start P90X because you wanted to be a positive example for your children. Share it. Maybe you couldn’t afford P90X, but you made sacrifices to make it happen because you knew the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Share it. Maybe you became a Beachbody Coach because you wanted the freedom to stay at home every day. Share it. Maybe you became a Coach so that you could earn enough money to bring your wife home every day. Share it. Maybe you earned enough money as a Coach to cover your car payment. SHARE IT! Everyone has a unique story, and the more you share different parts of your story, the more that you will be able to relate to and inspire others. In addition, don’t be afraid to talk about your struggles and how you overcame them. For example, maybe you struggled with the P90X diet at first, or maybe you struggled with staying committed. Talk about it! Share how you overcame those struggles so that you could continue moving forward. The same goes with the Beachbody Business. It shows people that you’re human and struggle just as much as they do, making you more relatable. Be transparent!
Last, if you just started your journey in getting your results, that doesn’t mean that you should wait to start promoting and building the business. Rather, this is an excellent time for you to get people to join you in the journey! Let people know your goals and that you would like others to join you so that you can hold each other accountable. The key, though, is that you follow through and commit yourself, as well as provide great support and accountability to the people who have joined you.
